Workers will assist with all aspects of grain and cattle production on the farm. Duties include feeding livestock, maintaining water supplies, monitoring animals for signs of illness, and performing general livestock care. Workers will handle grain and feed, including loading and unloading agricultural commodities using augers, conveyors, and related equipment. Workers will operate agricultural equipment used in the normal course of farm operations, including tractors with loaders, skid steers, combines, sprayers, grain carts, and other farm machinery to support crop and livestock production activities. Duties include tillage, planting, spraying, haying, harvesting, post-harvest handling, material handling, and snow removal necessary to maintain access to feeding areas, farm roads, and work locations. Workers will assist with grain handling operations and operate equipment associated with storage, movement, and transportation of agricultural products. Routine maintenance and minor repairs of farm machinery, equipment, and related systems will be performed to keep equipment in safe and efficient operating condition. Workers may also operate agricultural equipment and perform other crop-production support activities customary to a grain and cattle operation, including preparation for the upcoming production season. All duties are performed in support of agricultural crop and livestock production activities on the farm and require the safe and efficient operation of agricultural equipment under varying weather and field conditions. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
