Title: Clinical Laboratory Geneticist

Hours of Work: Full-Time Position
Salary: $150,000-200,000 per annum
Location: Remote/hybrid option available

FlowLabs operates Canada’s largest male fertility diagnostics network. The company maintains ISO 15189 Plus™ accredited operations, including two licensed laboratories, nine specimen collection centres, telehealth-enabled services, and established referral relationships with fertility clinics and physicians across Canada.
In collaboration with the Hospital for Sick Children, FlowLabs is now establishing a male infertility genetics program. FlowLabs is an active research organization with collaborations with the University of Toronto, Mount Sinai Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children.
Job description:
Regular activities include:
1) developing clinical genetics reports,
2) development and maintenance of laboratory standard operating procedures,
3) data interpretation for a wide variety of molecular assays,
4) providing case interpretation,
5) scientific/technical oversight of genetic laboratory activities,
6) monitoring compliance with Accreditation Canada Diagnostics requirements,
7) participating in new test development and implementation, and
8) participating in FlowLabs and the Hospital for Sick Children’s research activities.
Successful candidate:
The successful candidate will have a PhD from an accredited university; will be board-certified or board-eligible as a Fellow of either the Canadian College of Medical Genetics (CCMG) or ABMGG (American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics). The ideal candidate will have experience and be knowledgeable in constitutional genetics, somatic genetics and molecular testing.
