Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to cultivate, harvest, and transport crops to elevator or storage area. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, combines, backhoes, mowers, track hoes, ATVs, and side by sides. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Job also requires receiving crop for drying and storage at grain drying facility; disposing of spoiled grain and chopping grass out of fields; hauling grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment, monitoring grain moisture levels, preparing scale tickets, and shoveling grain; loading seed into planters, changing combine cutting head, rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects from fields; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, buildings, gates, barns and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment including grain augers; regularly servicing equipment; light welding when necessary for equipment repair; lifting objects as needed; and mowing landscaping, and other grounds keeping duties around the farm. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often, and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
