Duties may include: Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and harvest sod using hand tools. Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil, using wheelbarrows or carts and shovels. Set up, operate, maintain and repair irrigation system Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping. Load rolled up sod and tools into trucks. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to cultivate, mow and harvest sod. Inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Workers may assist with pest control on 800 acres sod farm & other related Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
