Crops: Potatoes

Grading & Sorting: Workers will perform various duties associated with grading and harvesting potatoes harvested from employers’ fields. Workers will record the temperature and field location of each load. Workers will load potatoes onto conveyor belt. Workers will grade and sort potatoes according to supervisors’ instruction. After sorting and grading, the worker will transfer potatoes to warehouse.

Tractor and other equipment operation: properly trained workers will operate tractors, forklifts, and other farm equipment carefully. Workers will take care not to damage buildings, crops, vehicles and fellow workers. Any worker caught not using care may be terminated. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment.

Farm, and Shed Sanitation: All workers will be responsible for picking up trash, and other farm sanitation duties. Workers will sweep up debris, dirt and trash. This material will be removed using wheelbarrows, tractor buckets and other containers. Workers may be required to power wash shed, and farm equipment. Workers will make repairs to farm buildings, fences, and other structures according to supervisors instructions.
