Receiving harvested seed. Sampling, weighing, inspecting, and testing seed. Removing dirt, chaff, sticks, leaves, damaged seed. Inspecting seed tools for proper operation. Cleaning, screening, separating, sorting, grading, and conditioning seed. Applying approved seed-treatment products. Mini bulking and toting. Identify scale tickets to maintain seed records. Pull filled bags or containers into position for weighing, sealing, stacking, or loading. Cleaning and performing routine upkeep on seed tools used directly in and for the seed-work operation only. Utilize diverse methods of snow and ice removal and management from designated work areas, walkways, and access points as needed to maintain safe and accessible conditions. Must be able to learn and demonstrate understanding of employer’s seed color coding system. Pulling or positioning filled bags and containers for weighing, sealing, stacking, storage, or loading; Cleaning seed tools used directly in the seed-cleaning operation; Learning and demonstrating understanding of the Employer’s seed-identification and color-coding system; Keeping work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
