Duties may include: Set up and operate irrigation equipment. Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping.
Pistachios: Remove broken limbs or extra trash from bins.
Almonds: Rake excess almonds left behind from uneven ground conditions to the middle of row so they are able to be picked up. Check irrigation lines for watering & other related General Farm Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work. The CA Overtime language of $25.35/hour for hours 8–12 daily, over 40 in a workweek, and the first 8 hours on a 7th consecutive day.
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
