Perform snow removal services at residential and commercial properties, including driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks, using hand tools such as shovels and snow brooms, as well as power-driven equipment like walk-behind electric or gas snow blowers. Apply de-icing materials such as rock salt or calcium chloride to maintain safe walking and driving surfaces.
Assist with general grounds and facilities maintenance tasks, including litter collection, clearing debris such as leaves and snow from building entrances and walkways, and winterizing irrigation systems. May perform additional seasonal groundskeeping duties during fall and spring, such as raking, mulching, composting leaves, removing dead plant materials, cutting back perennials, mulching landscape beds, and dormant pruning from ground level.
May be asked to drive a crew vehicle to job sites if the worker already possesses a valid, noncommercial driver’s license; however, a driver’s license is not a condition of employment. Workers will not be required to operate a snow plow.
