Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract | Sweetwater, TX Job Details Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery Location: Sweetwater, Texas Facility: Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Contract Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week Weekly Gross Pay: $2,000 – $2,100 per week Holiday Coverage: Required EMR: CPSI / Evident Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care for antepartum, labor, postpartum, and nursery patients Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery Assist with deliveries and provide immediate newborn care Perform postpartum assessments and patient education Care for newborns in the nursery setting Respond to obstetric emergencies and collaborate with the healthcare team Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in on-call coverage as required Requirements Active Texas RN License (or eligible to practice in Texas) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Experience caring for antepartum, labor, postpartum, and nursery patients is required Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications OB circulator experience preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting Facility Highlights Rural West Texas hospital with approximately 30–40 deliveries per month Supportive team environment Opportunity to practice across the full continuum of obstetric and newborn care Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,100.00 per week Benefits: Referral program Experience: Recent Labor & delivery RN: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred) RN License (Preferred) Work Location: On the road
