Job Description

The general Landscape Laborers will landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment, including lawnmower (walk behind and rider), trimmer, edger, backpack blower, wheel barrel, broom, rake, shovel, spade. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks which may include a combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, digging, aerating, seedings, weeding, mulching and raking. Laborers will also undertake snow and ice removal using the same equipment used for landscaping work. Laborers would also process tree trunks into company-defined bundles of firewood, complete with branded wrapping and labeling. Once processed, the Laborers would use company vehicles to deliver the bundled firewood. GVWR varies from dually to non-dually for the pickup trucks, but the range is 11k - 14k. If trailers are needed, all trailers are under 10k GVWR. In any trucks/trailers combo, nothing will exceed the 26,001 lb threshold for CDL requirements. The skid steer will utilize a pallet fork attachment or the grapple bucket attachment. These attachments will also apply for mini skids (stand-on skid steers). The skids are used in the initial phase of transport and the holding mechanism to allow the Laborers to use chainsaws and break down the larger logs and to raise the bundled logs higher off the ground for organized loading into the trucks/trailers for transport. Laborers process tree trunks into co pany-defined bundles of firewood, complete with branded wrapping and labeling. Once processed, the Laborers would use company vehicles to deliver the bundled firewood. The firewood processing workflow begins with seasoned tree trunks that are delivered to the worksite by Pinnacle’s customer. The selected log/trunk will be transported using machinery (skid steer, stand-on mini skid steer) equipped with a grapple bucket into an initial log staging area. Logs are then to be cut into smaller segments utilizing chainsaws. The segmented logs are manually placed into a mechanical wood splitter, which splits/processes them into traditional firewood-sized pieces. These split pieces are deposited into a designated drop zone consisting solely of the split firewood. This is then manually loaded onto a conveyor system that transports it to a secondary staging area for bundling. At this stage, the Laborer is responsible for selecting an appropriate quantity of wood per bundle, affixing a branded paper logo on top, and operating a wrapping machine to encase the bundle in clear plastic.

Completed bundles are then stacked in a designated storage area for future distribution. The Laborer will also be loading company dump trucks and/or trailers with finished bundles for delivery.

The equipment that the Laborers will utilize to perform the firewood tasks is similar to that which is used by the workers for their general landscape duties, and are as follows: skid steer, mini skid steer (stand-on skid), chainsaw, dump trucks, trailers, along with standard personal protective equipment - gloves, ear/hearing protection, eye and face protection, steel-toe or composite-toe boots.

The type of vehicle the Laborers will drive to deliver the firewood include pickup trucks, dump trucks, flatbed/stake bed trucks, dump trailers, enclosed trailers, and open trailers.

The equipment the Laborers utilize to remove snow and ice include shovels and walk-behind snow blowers. These workers will be responsible for clearing driveways, sidewalks, and pedestrian pathways across the residential and commercial properties. Some clients require ongoing snow removal during extended weather events, while others request a one-time service after the storm has ended. **IF NEEDED, EMPLOYER WILL ASSIST FOREIGN AND NON-LOCAL U.S. WORKERS HIRED PURSUANT TO THIS JOB ORDER TO SECURE WORKER-PAID LODGING NOT TO EXCEED REASONABLE FAIR MARKET VALUE COST BASED ON NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS.

Employment period: Oct 1, 2026 – Mar 31, 2027
