Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week travel assignment in a Long-Term Care/Assisted Living setting. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a close-knit rural community while working alongside an experienced healthcare team.

Job Details

  • Position: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care (LTC)
  • Location: Eagle Butte, South Dakota
  • Shift: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM (12-hour Day Shift)
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Job Duration: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP

    Requirements

  • Active LPN license in South Dakota or a Compact (Multistate) License, as applicable.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Assisted Living experience preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to work in a rural healthcare environment.

    Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and monitor residents' responses.
  • Assess residents' physical and emotional conditions and promptly report any changes.
  • Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and ongoing resident assessments.
  • Educate residents and families regarding care plans and health management.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols and maintain a safe care environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all facility, state, and federal nursing regulations.
