Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team! Your Experience & Skills Has at least 1 year of clinical veterinary experience Brings a positive, team-oriented attitude to work every day Is committed to providing a stress-free environment for our patients Enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting Has a flexible schedule and is willing to adapt to the needs of the hospital Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) in WA state or pending licensure You are Willing and Able to As an Oncology LVT, you’ll be responsible for providing high-quality care to our oncology patients, both hospitalized and outpatient, while delivering exceptional client service. Specific tasks include: Utilizing a Fear Free approach to handling patients and following safety protocols Maintaining accurate patient records using EzyVet and SmartFlow Administering injectable and oral medications (antiemetics, steroids, etc.) and understanding chemotherapeutic agents and protocols Setting up and assisting with chemotherapy, tissue sampling, and other diagnostic procedures Demonstrating understanding of hazardous waste handling and chemotherapy safety protocols Performing venipuncture, cystocentesis, and laboratory procedures (e.g., blood smears, PCV/TS) Communicating effectively with clients, providing updates and ensuring their understanding of treatment plans Supporting our gold standard veterinary care and advocating for the well-being of our patients You’ll Grow with Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
