This farm is a lightweight stocker operation. Young cattle are bought and graze on winter grass to build up their weight before being shipped to feedlots. Job requires tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, examining, tagging, processing, and herding; assisting in medication administration; assisting with vet visits; tilling pasture; operating various equipment including, but not limited to, tractors, front loaders, mowers, balers, and trucks with goose-neck cattle trailers connected; conducting the repair and maintenance of farm equipment and fencing; regularly cleaning and servicing equipment; spraying cattle for flies and other pests; planting and maintaining winter grass. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded as needed and driven on the farm and to haul cattle. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
