Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a dedicated LPN/RN Floor Nurse working the EVENING SHIFT! Duties Assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and detailed patient assessments. Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and medical documentation standards. Manage complex care needs including IV infusions, ventilator support, catheterization, ostomy care, tube feeding, and wound suturing. Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, discharge planning, and case management. Perform laboratory procedures such as specimen collection and processing, phlebotomy, and laboratory result documentation within EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide specialized care including memory care, behavioral health support, hospice & palliative medicine, trauma medicine, and infectious disease management. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal care, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding and medical terminology. Strong critical care skills including ICU experience, trauma center expertise (Level I & II), emergency medicine procedures, and acute pain management. Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures such as suturing, sterile processing, airway management, and telemetry monitoring. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law, hospital medicine standards (NCQA), infection control practices, and outpatient/ambulatory surgery center protocols. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge to deliver personalized care plans. Effective communication skills for triage situations, health coaching, discharge planning, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
