All work must be performed during winter months where crop acres are dormant due to cold weather and short daylight hours. Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 53-7064 Packers and Packagers such as: We have a large amount of grain storage that I need help maintaining and operating as well as driving semi; Use grain conditioning tools to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards; Use forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks, brooms; Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information; Place products in containers; Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel; Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing; Guide products to regulate flow and to discard diseased or rotten products; Monitor and report grain moisture and grades; Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and surrounding facilities; Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Operate fans and other equipment to condition grain and control moisture levels. Tear down and re-build wheel motors, pumps and other equipment.
