· Review abnormal diagnostics, lab results, imaging, and clinical updates, and communicate concerns according to established protocols.

· Manage prescription refill requests, medication documentation, and related patient communications.

· Assist providers with office-based procedures, including patient preparation, supplies, documentation, and post-procedure instructions.

· Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up guidance in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner.

· Coordinate vendor and representative coverage for procedures as needed.

· Initiate and follow up on prior authorizations for procedures, medications, imaging, and other services.

· Maintain clinical supply inventory, monitor supply outdates, and help ensure exam rooms and procedure areas are stocked and ready for use.

· Document nursing assessments, interventions, patient communications, education, and care coordination activities accurately in the electronic medical record.

· Support marketing lead workflows and patient outreach activities as needed.

· Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all applicable clinic policies, HIPAA requirements, safety standards, and infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

· Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois, in good standing.

· Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

· Current BLS certification required; additional certifications may be preferred based on clinic needs.

· Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred; outpatient clinic, procedural, surgical, specialty practice, or ambulatory care experience strongly preferred.

· Strong triage, clinical judgment, patient education, and communication skills.

· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, respond calmly to urgent patient needs, and work effectively in a busy clinic setting.

· Experience with electronic medical records and patient communication platforms preferred.

· Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.

Work Environment and Schedule

· Work is performed primarily in a professional outpatient healthcare clinic and procedure center environment.

· This role involves frequent interaction with patients, families or caregivers, providers, surgery centers, vendors, and internal team members in person, by phone, and through electronic communication systems.

· The position requires regular use of clinical and office equipment, including computers, phones, electronic medical record systems, patient communication platforms, exam room supplies, procedure-related equipment, and standard clinic equipment.

· The role may involve exposure to standard healthcare conditions, including bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, medications, and infectious materials, and requires adherence to infection control, privacy, safety, and clinical practice policies.

· Schedule is generally during regular business hours, with flexibility needed to support patient care schedules, clinic operations, procedure schedules, and occasional changes in workflow.
