The Opportunity We’re seeking experienced Operating Room RNs to join the Surgical Services team at MultiCare Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley, Washington This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a high-acuity surgical environment where nurses are trusted clinical leaders and essential partners in patient outcomes. You’ll deliver expert perioperative care alongside highly skilled surgeons and multidisciplinary teams across a range of procedures. In Surgical Services at Tacoma General, OR RNs practice at the top of their license in a collaborative environment that values expertise, innovation, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and members of the health care team Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds Requirements Bachelor’s degree in nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL) Current BLS Certification required Certification in specialty area preferred Current OR experience - 1+ years in a hospital setting Must be willing to work call as required and some holiday work will be required About Valley Hospital MultiCare Valley Hospital is a 123-bed, fully accredited acute-care hospital in Spokane Valley, featuring a Level III Trauma Center, comprehensive surgical, inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic services, and advanced cardiac care.
