Shift & Schedule

Requirements & Skills

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current experience and proficiency in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing
• Strong clinical assessment skills specific to maternal and neonatal care
• Ability to provide compassionate patient and family-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with department policies, safety protocols, and quality standards

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the physical and emotional status of mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding the childbirth process, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient progress
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist with interventions as needed
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Minnesota
• Prior experience in OB/L&D nursing strongly preferred
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to delivering culturally sensitive and patient-centered care

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $78.00 - $92.00
