Looking for a meaningful school-based nursing opportunity where you can make a lasting difference in a student's life?
We're seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 nursing care for a medically fragile middle school student in the Seattle, WA area. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys building relationships and providing consistent, individualized care in a supportive school setting.
This position is expected to continue year after year as long as the student remains enrolled, offering long-term stability.
Position Details
1:1 nursing support for a medically fragile middle school student
Student is healthy, active, and mobile (not wheelchair-bound)
School-based setting
Full school-day schedule
Transportation responsibilities are not currently anticipated and are still being finalized
School Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:55 AM - 2:45 PM
Wednesday: 7:55 AM - 1:30 PM
Required Qualifications
Active Washington RN or LPN license, or an active compact state nursing license
Experience with tracheostomy (trach) care and suctioning is required
Comfortable providing independent 1:1 nursing care
Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
Preferred Qualifications
Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply, as the student's family primarily speaks Spanish (not required)
Female nurses are preferred by the student's family
Previous school nursing experience is NOT required. Nurses with the required clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
