Greet and provide menus to customers; answer questions regarding menu items; take orders for food and beverages for transmittal to kitchen staff; ensure patrons are enjoying meals and address any issues; check identification for purchase of alcohol; serve food to patrons; prepare checks that itemize total meal costs and sales taxes; collect payments from customers; remove dishes and glasses from tables and clean tables after patrons have finished dining; prepare and set up tables for meals; perform other cleaning duties in restaurant as needed such as cleaning floors, stocking and tidying service station, taking out trash and wiping down surfaces.
