Travel PCU RN in Tucson, Arizona

Overview Progressive Care Unit RNs (PCU RNs) care for patients who need close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to require ICU care. PCU RNs use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information. PCU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Record patient’s medical information and vital signs Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patient Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays to help guide treatment Requirements Valid RN license in the state of practice, or temporary/interim RN license, or compact licensure for the current state BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months Prior experience in a trauma setting, including Level I Trauma Center experience Ability to perform physical activities regularly, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching Physical agility and reaction time to respond effectively to patient needs Adequate hearing and visual acuity, including color vision Fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and utilize proper body mechanics for patient mobility Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, in person and via telephone Competency in basic computer use Must possess and maintain applicable fingerprint clearance cards: Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, as required by the facility Employment type: Travel contract, 36 hours per week, 3x12 shifts Ability to work 36 hours per week Valid AZ RN license or ability to obtain Willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays Location(s) Casa Grande, AZ Gilbert, AZ Glendale, AZ Queen Creek, AZ Tucson, AZ Shift(s) Days (3x12) Nights (3x12) Unique Gifted Benefits Guaranteed Pay - With Guaranteed Pay, you’ll never have to worry about not getting paid if your shift gets canceled for low census.
