Overview Pediatric Registered Nurses (Peds RNs) assist pediatricians in examinations and observe and record pediatric patients’ vital signs. Peds RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administer medication, draw blood, and administer vaccinations using age-appropriate guidelines Set up drips and blood transfusions, intravenous infusions, and assist with tests and evaluations Provide education and support to families and patients Requirements Valid RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in pediatric or trauma settings Minimum of 2 years RN experience Knowledge of professional nursing practices, techniques, and procedures Strong organizational, planning, and patient care evaluation skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to effectively respond to diverse cultural and language needs Basic computer proficiency, specifically with Meditech EMR Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from an accredited program Previous experience in a Level I Trauma hospital or ER setting EMR experience with Meditech Location(s) Oklahoma City, OK Shift(s) Rotating (4x10) Nights (3x12) Unique Gifted Benefits Guaranteed Pay - With Guaranteed Pay, you’ll never have to worry about not getting paid if your shift gets canceled for low census.
