Location: Miller, SD 57362 Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend & Holiday\

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) assignment in Miller, South Dakota. This position provides comprehensive nursing care to long-term care and skilled nursing residents, focusing on medication administration, chronic disease management, wound care, and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to LTC and skilled nursing residents.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered therapies.
  • Assess, monitor, and document changes in patient condition.
  • Perform wound care, IV therapy, and chronic disease management as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Ensure compliance with LTC/SNF regulations, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
  • Support resident care planning and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.

    Requirements

  • Active South Dakota RN license or Compact RN license.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent LTC/SNF nursing experience.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.
  • Strong assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts and provide compassionate geriatric care.
