The Warehouse Helper will work in the warehouse department, holiday department, and plant scaping department by unloading trucks, moving the material to the appropriate locations, and pulling material for loading to ship to other locations. Materials include boxes/cases of flowers, artificial trees, wreaths/garland, ornaments, ribbon, and plants of all shapes and sizes. Types of machinery, tools, and/or equipment used include metal carts with adjustable shelves. The employee’s role is to physically handle the appropriate materials (boxes, buckets of flowers, cases of supplies or merchandise, and plants). Employee would be given instructions on what to find, how to sort it, where to bring it, and how to organize it in its final location. Landscaping tasks include unloading plant shipments, sorting and staging plants for the installation team, loading trucks with the same material. Employee will find and gather the appropriate boxes of materials, move them to the desired area, remove them from the boxes, and set them in place to be ready to be assessed. Additionally they would repack the finished items in boxes, move those to the staging area, and assist in loading trucks for delivery. This role involves physical labor and requires the ability to work in varying environments, both indoors and outdoors, as dictated by the project needs.
