Duties may include: Take inventory on tools and equipment and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Order and pick up replacement parts for farm vehicles and equipment. Clean and winterize farm vehicles, implements, hand tools and mechanical equipment. Remove drip tape and winterize drip irrigation system. Repair and winterize fencing. Remove stalks and roots from previously harvested plants & other related Winter Farm Maintenance Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
