Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will provide advanced care across the continuum of care services to patient who are acutely and chronically diagnosed with pain dyscrasias. Patient assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, discharge planning, implementation of plan and systematic/ongoing evaluation are all essential components in the provision of care. The Advanced Practice Provider utilizes a multi-modal decision-making approach and has direct accountability for clinical judgement. Qualifications The Advanced Practice Provider provides care to patients while adhering to the practice guidelines and standards set forth by the State of Wisconsin. Completion of a Bachelor Degree from an accredited program. Completion of a Masters Degree from an accredited program. May have a Doctorate Degree from an accredited program. Current Licensure. Basic Life Support Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification DEA License Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred. Pain Management experience preferred. Responsibilities: Maintain strict confidentiality. Provide quality medical care and service. Act as a member of a team, build and keep trust, and to treat all others with respect. Must have exceptional communication and timely decision-making skills. Must show empathy and patience, and remain composed under pressure, as appropriate. Must be proficient with documentation in an electronic health record within a timely manner.
