Workers will be establishing new farm operations by preparing the land, hooking line and beginning irrigation flow from the existing well, installing fencing, and planting alfalfa. Job duties may include: Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Sort, pack and load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools. Approximate staggered entry: 3 workers to begin Aug 10 and 4 workers to begin Dec 15.
