Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as cotton, wheat; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Drive truck to haul crops, supplies, tools to and from farm storage/market; Regulate conditions; Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease; Maintain inventory; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools. Must speak and understand English.
