Duties may include: Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Operate various equipment to move dirt and grade the fields to proper grade. Install irrigation systems, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Workers will assist in collecting tree seeds, such as acorns and pecans, preparing them for plantings, and rooting them for the prepared ground & other related Agricultural Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
