The seasonal agricultural worker will prepare fields for planting; attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; perform planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; fertilize and spray crops by applying fertilizer and pesticide solutions with hand sprayers to control insects, fungus, weeds, and diseases; install, maintain, and repair pivot irrigation systems; observe and listen to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions; and inspect, adjust, maintain, and perform routine repairs on farm equipment and machinery. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion, Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
