Identify and measure various gemstones; examine gems to ensure accuracy of angle and positions of cuts; inspect all stones to determine they are genuine per gemological standards; assess gems and jewelry for proper hallmarks and karat stamps; photograph jewelry to document for inventory control and appraisals purposes; assist in preparing customer appraisals including evaluating jewelry, researching replacement pricing, and documenting official appraisal. Shifts will vary from 8:00am to 9:00pm, up to 6 days/week, 40hrs/week minimum and up to 32hrs/week overtime.
