Requirements and Skills

• Proficient in performing EEG procedures and accurately recording patient data
• Experience with a variety of EEG equipment and software
• Excellent knowledge of neurophysiology and ability to recognize abnormal patterns
• Strong patient care skills with the ability to interact compassionately and professionally
• Ability to follow physician orders and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation capabilities
• Adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance standards in EEG testing

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for EEG procedures and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the testing process
• Operate EEG equipment to record electrical activity of the brain accurately
• Monitor and analyze EEG recordings, identifying any abnormalities to assist neurologists and physicians
• Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Document patient history, test procedures, and results with precision and confidentiality
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support diagnosis and treatment plans
• Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards related to the EEG department

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EEG Technology program or equivalent training
• Certification by a recognized credentialing body (e.g., ABRET) is preferred
• Previous experience working as an EEG Technologist or in a similar neurodiagnostic role
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Basic life support (BLS) certification may be required

Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $59.00 to $69.00
