Perform manual labor duties in a recycling facility processing electronic waste materials. Receive, unload, and move incoming shipments of discarded electronic equipment, including computers, monitors, phones, solar panels and related components. Sort and separate materials by type and condition into designated categories for reuse or recycling, following established procedures and supervisor instructions. Perform basic, routine disassembly of electronic devices using standard hand tools (such as screwdrivers, pliers and drills) to separate components, in accordance with set guidelines. No repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment is performed. Visually recognize and remove hazardous materials, including batteries, cathode ray tubes (CRTs), mercury lamps, and handle according to provided instructions and safety procedures. Weigh, label, and move materials using basic tracking methods, such as scales, logs, or barcode scanners, as instructed. Prepare materials for further processing or shipment by stacking, palletizing, wrapping, or placing items in designated containers. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including sorting stations, storage bins, and processing areas. Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), OSHA standards, and adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures. Perform repetitive tasks in a production-based environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and handling materials throughout the work shift.
