Duties may include: Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Examine and listen to equipment, and read inspection reports. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Clean and lubricate parts. Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org). J51 license preferred, but not required.
Possible weekend/holiday work.
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
