The tasks requested are only performed during the winter months when crop farming has halted, and the machinery is no longer in use. Performs the following duties: Post and preseason inspections, maintenance, and winterization of a total of 58 machines: 2 CTH 9240 combines, 3 CIH Quadtrac tractors, 4 CIH wheeled tractors, 3 pay loaders/skid steers, 2 CIH Patriot sprayers, 5 semi's, 7 field pick up trucks, 2 Concord PSD, 6 tillage machines, 12 augers/conveyors, 11 trailers, 1 CIH 1250 planter. Inspect and/or replace air conditioning, brake systems, coupling devices, electrical systems, engine, exhaust system, frame, fuel system, hydraulics, lighting devices, steering system, suspension system, tires, transmission system, wheels and rims, windshield & wipers, battery, brake components, electronics, engine components, filters, oil, fluid and lubricants, seals. Workers may need to engage in snow removal to recover equipment that needs to be moved to the heated shop. Drive to town to pick up mechanical parts. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.
