Duties may include: Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery. Clean and lubricate parts. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
