Job Description

Responsible for the overall condition and proper operation of the equipment at the farm.  Ensure shop area, equipment, and parts room remains clean and organized at all times. 
Conduct maintenance and repairs to all pack shed equipment.  Schedule and determine the need for repairs. 
Perform general maintenance and repairs across production equipment, including Celox, Box Fillers, Palletizers, Volm Machines, Check Weigher, and Spudnik Line.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; dispose of scrap or unusable materials.
Communicate equipment deficiencies and downtime needs to lead employees and supervisors.
Maintain and track preventive maintenance (PM) programs and logs using Asset Essentials.
Responsible for the service records on equipment on the Equipment Database.  
Responsible for the accuracy of Asset Essentials.  Assist the Parts & Service Coordinator and Ops Support Team by keeping equipment inventories accurate. Inventory and manage parts and tools; notify the Packing Shed Manager of shortages while minimizing excess inventory.
Responsible for the parts procurement and on site inventories.  Ensure that an adequate inventory is maintained on site for day-to-day operations. Ensure purchase order numbers are used properly. 
Oversee incoming equipment condition and set-up, and departing equipment condition and disassembly necessary.  Notify sender or receiver, and service team of any problems. Prepare Bill of Ladings for shipments. 
Implement and maintain Global GAP standards.
Ensure the pack shed operates in a safe manner. Including: Keeping tools and equipment stored properly when not in use. Reporting unsafe behaviors or equipment to the Packing Shed Manager. Following all safety-related SOPs and PPE guidelines. Attending at least one safety meeting per month.
Assist in preseason planning of equipment needs with Ops Support, Sales, the Farm Team, and others as necessary. 
Assist in maintaining a constant Tour Ready farm. 
Assist in other areas to promote cross-training and teamwork.
All other tasks or duties as assigned by the Pack Shed Manager or Farm Manager.
All tools will be provided at no cost.
