Job requires operating non-CDL farm trucks and grain trailers to transport grain commodities from on-farm storage facilities and grain bins to elevators, markets, and designated delivery locations. Workers will secure and transport grain commodities; inspect trucks and trailers before and after use; maintain accurate load and delivery records; and perform routine servicing and cleaning of trucks, trailers, and related hauling equipment. Workers will assist with monitoring grain condition during transport and maintaining orderly traffic flow around loading and unloading areas. Job also requires fueling trucks, checking tire pressure and fluid levels, cleaning truck interiors and exteriors, and reporting mechanical issues to management. Workers may use maps, GPS, or dispatch instructions to follow designated hauling routes between storage sites and delivery locations. Workers must follow all roadway safety requirements and employer safety protocols while operating non-CDL farm vehicles. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, road, and delivery conditions. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general hauling functions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers’ pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
