Worker will perform all duties associated with the daily care and management of horses in a private stable facility. Duties include: feeding and watering horses twice daily according to established schedules and dietary requirements; cleaning, mucking out, and re-bedding stalls on a daily basis; moving horses to and from turnout paddocks and pastures; grooming horses including brushing, bathing, mane and tail care, and hoof picking; monitoring horses for signs of illness, injury, or distress and reporting observations to supervisor; assisting with basic health procedures as directed; maintaining cleanliness and organization of barn aisles, feed rooms, and tack areas; performing minor maintenance and repairs to barn facilities including fixing broken fencing, gates, and stall hardware; and performing other related agricultural duties as assigned.
