NORTH CAROLINA HARVESTING LLC.FLC, (50) Temporary Agricultural Workers for North Carolina in (Wayne County) from Set-15-2026 to Dec-20-2026. Harvesting Sweet potatoes, Picking Sweet potatoes. We will harvest by hand, and Workers will harvest sweet potatoes and place them in 5/8 buckets, pulling weeds, raking, weeding, pruning, cleaning up rows where plantings are, driving buses, performing equipment operations of farms, and working in all areas of the farm.
The job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Able to lift and carry 75 pounds repetitively throughout the workday. Workers should be physically able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodation. The use, possession, or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol during working time is prohibited. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol testing at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Requires 1 month of verifiable work experience in manual harvesting. The estimated hourly rate is $12.78/hr guaranteed for "U.S. workers (A1)", and the estimated hourly rate is $11.09/hr. guaranteed for "H-2A workers (B1)". Wage Rate: $0.50 per 5/8 Bucket or equivalent (Sweet Potato). Guarantee 35 hours a week. 1st-week warranty. Will provide daily transportation round trips to and from housing to the work-site location, at no cost to the workers. Housing is provided at no cost to workers who cannot reasonably return their residency daily. The employer provides the tools at no cost to workers. 3/4 scheduled working hours guaranteed. Transport/subsistence reimbursed for the costs incurred by reporting to the workplace if the worker completes half the period of employment. Return Transportation Refunded if the worker terminates the contract. The employer understands that the Fair Labor Standards Act applies independently of the H-2A requirements and imposes. Obligations on employers regarding payment of wages. 20 CFR 655.122(h)(1).
