The worker will perform routine agricultural labor related to the care and management of cattle on a registered Simmental seedstock operation. Duties include feeding cattle using a mixer wagon and bale processor, bedding livestock, checking and maintaining watering systems, and monitoring herd health and condition. The worker will assist with livestock handling activities including vaccinations, tagging, and administering treatments as directed. During the calving season, the worker will check cows regularly, monitor animals for signs of labor, assist with difficult births when necessary, and move cattle between pens as required for herd management. Additional responsibilities include sorting, loading, and unloading cattle for transport and assisting with the safe movement and handling of livestock. The worker will maintain livestock facilities by repairing and maintaining fences, corrals, gates, and related structures used in cattle operations. Duties also include hauling hay for feeding operations, operating farm equipment such as tractors and skid steers used for feeding and property maintenance, and performing routine equipment upkeep. The worker will assist with snow removal around livestock yards, feeding areas, and operational spaces to maintain safe access for animals and equipment and may pick up livestock supplies needed for daily ranch operations. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
