Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Herd livestock to scales, trucks, or other enclosures. Maintain heated watering system. Maintain livestock equipment, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Move equipment or livestock from one location to another on the farm. Clean stalls, pens, and livestock equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Clean animal quarters. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Remove ice formed in water. Confine livestock in stalls. Maintain records pertaining to livestock. Report any problems to employer. Drive to town to pick up cattle supplies, on occasion.
