Daily feeding using payloader and feed wagon and watering of livestock. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Cleaning of bedding and maintaining optimal pen conditions. Mark livestock to identify ownership using ear tags. Maintain heated watering systems throughout winter months. Maintain machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Move livestock from one location to another on the farm. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Operate snow removal equipment in order to operate feed wagons. Remove ice formed in waters. Drive to town on occasion to pick up cattle supplies. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.
