Assist with health and well being of feeder cattle on winter wheat; Inspect, maintain, prepare, repair livestock machinery, pens, yards, fences, hot wire, feeding and watering facilities; Put out bloat blocks; Monitor calf health daily; Administer medicine as necessary; Bale corn stalk hay for livestock feed, supplement cattle by feeding; Pull cattle off winter wheat to be sorted and sold; Drive truck to move livestock and feed hay; Use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms, for sweeping, cleaning, and repairing grain bins, augers, and dryers; Repair farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help; Shift animals between grazing areas to ensure that they have sufficient access to food; Clean stalls, pens, and equipment using disinfectant solutions, water hoses. While a CDL is not required for the job, some workers hired under this job order may already possess or obtain one. Must speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 4 workers to start Oct 20 and 4 workers to start March 15.
