Perform agricultural work at the employer’s on-farm grain storage facilities. Receive, dry, condition, aerate, transfer, and store corn, rice, soybeans, wheat, and other employer-grown crops. Operate grain dryers, augers, conveyors, grain legs, fans, scales, tractors, loaders, and other farm and grain-handling equipment. Monitor grain temperature and moisture levels; inspect stored grain for spoilage, insects, and other quality concerns; prepare scale tickets and maintain basic grain-storage records; level grain; shovel grain; load and unload grain; remove and dispose of spoiled grain; and clean grain bins, pits, elevators, dryers, conveyors, and surrounding work areas. Transport employer-grown crops between the employer’s on-farm grain storage facilities and transport stored crops as needed using farm vehicles and equipment. All transportation duties involve crops grown by the employer and are incidental to the employer’s farming operation. Perform routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on grain-storage facilities, grain-handling equipment, farm vehicles, and related machinery. Clean, organize, and maintain grain-storage areas, farm shops, equipment, and surrounding grounds. Winterize grain-handling equipment, facilities and other on-farm buildings; remove vegetation and debris; and perform other agricultural labor related to the handling, storage, preservation, and preparation for market of crops grown by the employer. Duties may require prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, shoveling, and lifting. The Employer may request, but shall not require, workers to work on his or her Sabbath.
