Job requires the safe and efficient handling of grain throughout all stages of storage and shipment. Duties include accurately preparing and documenting scale tickets and inspecting incoming loads to ensure compliance with established moisture content and grade quality standards. Once accepted, grain must be transferred to the appropriate storage bins using grain conveying systems while maintaining even distribution and minimizing waste. The operator is also responsible for shipping grain as required, which involves moving grain from storage bins to truck loading bins and coordinating the loading process for outbound transportation. Manual shoveling of grain is required in areas where automatic conveyor equipment cannot fully remove grain, especially during bin clean-outs or maintenance operations. Regular housekeeping duties must be performed to ensure that grain storage areas, loading zones, and surrounding facilities remain clean, safe, and compliant with operational and safety standards. The operator must be capable of safely driving non-CDL farm trucks to transport grain between locations on the property and operating tractors and other equipment within the facility yard. Additional responsibilities include performing routine maintenance on grain handling equipment, conducting minor mechanical repairs when necessary, and ensuring that all machinery is in safe working condition.
