Job duties include keeping shipping logs; monitoring crops to ensure compliance with quality and sale standards; ensuring crops are in the correct containers based on their quality and condition; transferring crops to proper storage location; transporting crops from holding facility as required and transferring crops from storage to shipment containers prior to shipment; moving crops around holding facility; clearing crops from automatic transportation system that is causing jams, stoppages, or gaps in crop movement; performing housekeeping duties to ensure that holding locations are properly maintained; transporting crops; and performing maintenance & minor miscellaneous repair on conveying equipment, holding facilities and other tools involved. Must be able to climb vertical grain leg. Workers may be required to operate machinery for storage facility maintenance and non-CDL farm trucks. There are few typical days and workers may be required to engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
