Duties will include cleaning cattle pens and gathering manure; loading manure onto manure spreaders and applying manure to crop fields as fertilizer in preparation for the upcoming planting season; operating farm equipment to till and prepare fields for planting; and performing general farm maintenance and upkeep as needed. The Laborer will perform general farm labor associated with livestock manure management, crop field preparation, and general farm maintenance. The Laborer will also assist with maintaining clean, safe, and orderly livestock and farm work areas.
The work day may begin / end earlier or later on any given day and evening. Typical workweek is Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., with potential nights and weekends required depending on the weather.
