These tasks are performed across two operational settings: (1) the employer's landscape installation division, serving residential and commercial clients at off-site job locations, and (2) the employer's retail garden center, a commercial retail establishment where finished plant stock purchased from wholesale suppliers is sold to the public and to contractors. The employer does not cultivate, propagate, or harvest any plant stock. All plant material handled by workers is purchased wholesale and sold or installed as a finished commercial product. The retail garden center is a commercial retail business, not a farm or agricultural operation.
Small power equipment may include, but is not limited to: string trimmers (purpose: trim turf edges and overgrown vegetation); backpack blowers (purpose: clear clippings and debris from job sites and hardscape surfaces); push mower (purpose: turf mowing at residential and commercial sites); plate compactor (purpose: compact soil and gravel base material during hardscape and retaining wall installations).
