Job ID: Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Flight Medicine Location: Offutt AFB, NE 68113 Duration: 1 Year to 5 years Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0730–1630 (9-hour day including a 1-hour unpaid lunch). Hours may flex between 0600 and 1800 at the government supervisor's discretion to meet patient needs. Not scheduled on federal holidays. Pay rate $30-32/hr. on W2 with benefits. $5.42/hour non-taxable (Health & Welfare (H&W) Holidays: 11 Federal holidays Sick Leave: 56 hours annually Vacation: 10 days annually after 1 year of employment Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Providing care to a variable patient population, completing assigned duties and using judgment in selecting the order and sequence of procedures and treatments Observing, identifying and responding to patient needs, including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education Preparing and administering prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous) and performing treatments per established policies and procedures Accurately recognizing, reporting and recording relevant patient information Recognizing urgent or emergent situations, seeking assistance from the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiating appropriate emergency interventions as directed Supporting complex diagnostic tests and specialized procedures: preparing the patient, assisting with the exam, handling specialized instruments and equipment, and monitoring the patient before, during and after the procedure Orienting peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies, procedures, skills and standards of practice Participating in clinic-level events such as shift huddles, staff meetings and local training exercises To be considered for this position, you should have: Active, current, unrestricted LPN license (any U.S. jurisdiction) [confirm per TE 5] Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Education/experience requirements per TE 5, e.g., graduate of an accredited LPN program and X years of experience] Ability to complete an SF-85/SF-86 and obtain base access for Offutt AFB Ability to provide documentation of required immunizations and physical examination, and to complete agency-required training Ability to submit a complete qualifying package at least 30 days before placement Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Application Question(s): Do you have any previous experience working with state or federal government agencies, or with the Air Force or Army?
